Operated by the P.C.E.A. Riamukurwe Parish (Nyeri Presbytery), TumainiHuruma Children's Home provides essential, transient support to children from vulnerable families facing economic, emotional, or social hardships. Our mission is rooted in Christian principles, offering a safe, nurturing village-like environment where children receive holistic care – including feeding, clothing, medical attention, and education (both elementary and secondary).
We go beyond basic needs, focusing on talent development, skill-building (like plumbing, welding, tailoring, and ICT), youth empowerment, and promoting health through balanced nutrition, often from our own farm. Our ultimate goal is to equip these children to find meaning in their lives and, where possible, facilitate their reintegration into strengthened families. We provide stability and opportunity during difficult times.
